It was on this day (February 25) in 2011 that Aadi Saikumar made his acting debut with 'Prema Kavali'. 'Lovely', 'Sukumarudu', 'Galipatam' and others followed. As the actor today completes 12 years, he looks forward to expanding his career horizons this year.

Seen last year in five theatrical releases (read 'Atithi Devo Bhava', 'Black', 'Crazy Fellow', 'Tees Maar Khan', and 'Top Gear'), the actor has begun this year on a fresh note with an OTT debut. For ZEE5's web series 'Puli-Meka', he got to team up with Kona Venkat. Despite being a busy feature film actor, he didn't mind doing a performance-oriented role in the crime thriller. Soon, he will be seen in 'CSI Sanatan', an investigative thriller. The film is likely going to hit the cinemas on March 10.

In a recent interview, Aadi said that he personally likes entertainers. "People have been wanting to see me in films that come with the flavour of a 'Lovely' and 'Prema Kavali'," he observed, adding that he does films like 'Crazy Fellow' keeping the demands of a large set of audiences who watch him on OTT as well in mind.

Aadi's films have been successful on OTT and/or YouTube. "'Operation Gold Fish' got a very good name after its theatrical release even among the Hindi audience. Even before 'The Kashmir Files', that film talked about the plight of Kashmiri Pandits. 'Tees Maar Khan' is a film I enjoyed myself doing. As an artist, I have to enjoy doing what I do. 'Black' was a one-of-its-kind movie with a nice interval bang," he noted in an interview.
