Official blams Pawan Kalyan's movies for missing girls

Padma Vasireddy, the Chairperson of the Andhra Pradesh Women's Commission, has blamed Pawan Kalyan's movies for exerting a negative influence on impressionable girls. According to her, girls at a vulnerable age go missing (implying elopement) because they are captivated by the negative influence of love stories portrayed by actors like Pawan.

As is known, the actor-politician recently blamed the AP government's volunteer system for human trafficking during his political yatra. The Jana Sena chief alleged that the data collected by volunteers about single women, girls who have boyfriends, etc. has been handed over to human trafficking mafias, who in turn allegedly use the information for nefarious activities.

The Jaganmohan Reddy government is attempting to retaliate against Pawan Kalyan for tarnishing the image of the volunteer system. Padma Vasireddy's recent remarks, portraying his movies as problematic, are part of that effort.
