'Tiger Nageswara Rao' makers indirectly admit they were over-confident

On Saturday evening, Abhishek Agarwal Arts announced that 15 minutes of running time of 'Tiger Nageswara Rao' has been reduced. Some scenes have been done away with after listening to the audience's feedback about the film suffering from length issues.

With almost every review and online chatter blaming the overlong nature of the second half for muted impact, director Vamsee and actor Ravi Teja got into a huddle and decided to reduce the film's run-time to 157 minutes. Earlier, it was almost 173 minutes.

Before the film's release, Vamsee said that the audience wouldn't complain a wee bit about the length. "In fact, they will feel sad that the movie is not ten minutes longer," the director said.

The latest decision is a tacit admission that the makers are over-confident.

The movie, whose music is by GV Prakash Kumar, has also been panned for its rom-com track involving Ravi Teja and Nupur Sanon
