Vijay Deverakonda says he will surely achieve the Rs 200-Cr dream!

Ahead of the release of 'Family Star' on April 5, Vijay Deverakonda said that he is confident about delivering a two-billion movie. Here is what he said at the pre-release event of his upcoming movie:

"'Geetha Govindam', which hit the cinemas six years ago, is my biggest hit to date. It was a Rs 100-crore movie. I was a relatively new actor those days. I delivered back-to-back hits in my early years. During the promotions of 'Pelli Choopulu', I said in an interview that a one-billion movie was my dream. I lived that dream rather early," he began saying.

VD then added, "I have received so much love and appreciation in my career. Despite my repeated attempts to deliver better, I have failed to surpass the collections of 'Geetha Govindam'. Before the release of one of my movies ('Liger'), I boasted that it would gross Rs 200 Cr. Many have told me since then that it smacked of arrogance. Today, I am telling you all, making that boast was not wrong in itself. Not making that boast come true is wrong. I deserve all the trolling and insults. I wake up every day with so much faith. If someone else can deliver a Rs 200-crore movie, I too will some day."
