More than Sunny Deol's competitors in Bollywood, it is medium-range Telugu cinema heroes who would want Jaat to flop on April 10th. The reason is systemic in nature.
Medium-range filmmakers like Gopichand Malineni and Harish Shankar have started eyeing non-Teugu heroes. If Jaat becomes a hit in Hindi, the currency of these Tollywood directors will shoot up in other industries. Harish Shankar's aim to direct Salman Khan will receive a significant boost. Bobby Kolli's plans to team up with Hrithik Roshan will acquire a new life.
Already, Venky Atluri has stopped considering Telugu heroes. After working with Dhanush and Dulquer Salmaan, he is now teaming up with Suriya. Trivikram is rumouredly in talks with Dhanush now that his project with Allu Arjun has been postponed till 2026. Since non-Telugu heroes are starved of talented filmmakers, they are ever-so-ready to team up with Tollywood directors. It's a win-win for both sides.
This threatens to orphan medium-range and small-tier Telugu heroes like Ravi Teja, Nithiin, Ram Pothineni, Sree Vishnu, Naga Shaurya, and Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas. They won't get to work with medium-range Tollywood directors in the near term if Jaat becomes a hit. The limited directorial talent in Telugu will chase the demand from non-Telugu heroes. Big names like Rajamouli, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Trivikram, Sukumar won't work with them anyways. Boyapati Sreenu and Anil Ravipudi will be their sole bets.
