Funky, starring Vishwak Sen and Kayadu Lohar in lead roles, is coming out earlier than its declared release date. The entertainer, directed by Jathi Ratnalu fame KV Anudeep, will be rolled out in theatres on February 13, 2026.
Producer S Naga Vamsi has attributed the decision to advance the release date from April to February to confidence in content. "Saw the film. Loved it. Confident about it. We just couldn’t make you wait till April. The Anudeep brand of fun and entertainment arrives early, February 13th. Trust us, you’re in for a treat," he wrote.
Also starring VK Naresh, VTV Ganesh, and others, the film is going to be a comedy entertainer.
Suresh Sarangam (cinematography), Navin Nooli (editing), and Jonny Shaik (art direction) have worked on the movie. Mohan Sato of Prince (2022), Virata Parvam (2022) and Needi Naadi Oke Katha (2018) has co-written Funky. Produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the meta comedy film has music composed by the much-happening Bheems Ceciroleo, whose first major 2026 release will be Chiranjeevi's Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.
Since Vishwak Sen hasn't had multiple releases in 2025, an early 2026 release is something he needs. Funky is coming out as the answer.
