Ananthika Sanilkumar was seen in the campus comedy 'MAD' in 2023. The film, produced by Sithara Entertainments, was a hit at the box-office. She was in the first year of Intermediate when 'MAD' came her way. Born in Kerala in 2006, the young beauty has also acted in films like 'Raid', 'Rajahmundry Rose Milk' and 'Lal Salaam' (the one in which Rajinikanth played a special role).
'8 Vasantalu' is her next big theatrical release. The female-centric romantic drama is scheduled to hit the cinemas on June 20. It is on the same day that the big-ticket 'Kuberaa' will be released in theatres.
On the face of it, '8 Vasantalu' stands no chance against 'Kuberaa', which stars three major stars (Dhanush, Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna). Moreover, the pre-release promotional assets of Ananthika's movie hint at no exciting stuff. But if the love story is profound and poignant enough, Ananthika's role might receive critical appreciation. And if the film is genuinely content-rich, it will find its own justification on OTT.
