‘Keshava’ is releasing in a grand level on May 19 as summer treat to audience. Directed by Sudheer Varma, the film is being made under Abhishek Picture banner. Abhishek Pictures head Abhishek Nama has produced the film with Devansh Nama as presenter. ‘Pelli Choopulu’ fame Rithu Varma played the female lead opposite Nikhil, while Bollywood beauty Isha Koppikar will be seen in a key role. As part of film’s promotion actress Ritu Varma has a chit chat with the media on Tuesday i.e. on May 16. Read on to know what she has said about her upcoming release ‘Keshava’.

Tell us about your role in the film?
I play Satyabhama in the film, a law student who supports the hero in all his problems. Even though she is not involved in the crimes, she stays with him through thick and thin. Nikhil, Koushik and me will be seen as students.

How did you bag ‘Keshava’?
So far I have done feel good movies. When I was looking for a different genre film, I got this opportunity. I felt ‘Keshava’ is a right choice. Teaser andtrailer ave got tremendous response from audience.

Can you briefly tell what ‘Keshava’ is about?
Sudheer Varma has proved his talent as director with the films like ‘Swamy Ra Ra’ and ‘Dohchay’. He carved out ‘Keshava’ wonderfully. I didn’t act in action sequences, but I have acted in some chasing scenes in climax. I was very much impressed by the script. It’s a courageous revenge drama which is very dark. I have always been selective in choosing roles. I like to do glamorous roles, but I don’t want to play the roles which are restricted to only songs.

Tell us about songs and dances in ‘Keshava’?
I didn’t do dances in ‘Keshava’. There are no lip sync songs and dances as the content is quite serious. All songs are situational. I have acted alongside Isha Koppikar for a couple of scenes. She is acting in Telugu after a log gap.

What is your next film?
I went through some scripts after ‘Keshava’. At present I am working for a Tamil film titled ‘Dhruva Nakshatram’.
