Muslim leader complains against Chhaava in Nellore

Chhaava is going to be released in Telugu this Friday. Geetha Arts has claimed that it will open on 550 screens in the Telugu States.

Just hours before its release, the Nellore District Collector has reportedly received a complaint from a Muslim leader, who requested him to stall the release of the Bollywood blockbuster in Telugu. Mohammed Zia-ul-Haq, President of the Muslim Federation of Andhra Pradesh, is the one who approached the Collector with the request. As per him, Chhaava is guilty of distorting the Mughal-Maratha clash.

Chhaava stars Vicky Kaushal, Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles. While the Hindi version is a blockbuster, the Telugu-dubbed version has no takers, apparently. Since there has been weeks of gap between the release of the original Hindi and Telugu versions, the dubbed version is not enjoying good hype. Moreover, since this is the exams season, the openings are expected to be dull unless a miracle happens.
