Prabhas, who got introduced to Tollywood through ‘Eeshwar’, shot to fame through ‘Varsham’, followed by ‘Chatrapathi’, but later had to reconcile with a few flops. He finally realized that his action oriented approach had to change to exhibit a multi-skill hero. Thus his search ended with a script from Karunakaran which had a different climax with sister sentiment. He has now put in efforts to exhibit his other skills than action and the result is ‘Darling’, a comedy filled romantic entertainer. Young Rebel Star Prabhas has just delivered his latest flick ‘Rebel’ which was stylishly crafted by the stylish director Lawrence. ‘Rebel’ starring Prabhas, Tamannah, Deeksha Seth, Krishnam Raju, Brahmanandam, Aali, Kovai Sarala and others, opened to theatres with record collections and running successfully with success talk. The film is getting wide appreciations for its high production values and stylish film-making. Apart from that, the highlights of ‘Rebel’ includes the Prabhas’s looks, his action stunts, dance, comedy, Krishnam Raju’s character, Tamannah and Deeksha Seth’s role have added value to the film. ‘Rebel’ being the highest openings film in Prabhas’s career, the actor was very excited about it and shared some of his views on the film with media. Prabhas talks about "Ek Niranjan"
October 29th will see young rebel star Prabhas starring ‘Ek Niranjan’ directed by dynamic director Puri Jagannath. Puri is known for his punch dialogues like in ‘Pokiri’, Mahesh Babu’s most famous dialogue ‘Evadu kodithe mind block ayithe vaade Pandugaadu’. Now, it is the turn of Prabhas to utter ‘Meelo evadikaina nannila kotte dhammundha? Malli nene try cheyyala?’ This dialogue which is becoming familiar with the audience through trailers is generating very high expectations on the film. Prabhas is coming up with this film after his successful ‘Billa’. Bollywood beauty Kangana Raunat has been cast opposite him and the Chairman of Aditya Group of Companies, Aditya Ram is the producer. Prabhas Interview on Baahubali
The hype for the SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ has reached sky that was never seen before for any movie till date. The film features south Indian top artistes such as Young Rebel Star Prabhas, Handsome Hunk Rana, Gorgeous Anushka, Milky Beauty Tamannaah, Sathyaraj, Nassar and Ramya Krishnan in key roles. The film is being produced by Sobhu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works banner with K Raghavendra Rao as presenter. MM Keeravani has scored wonderful music. Audience will be seeing conjoined twins for the first time on silver screen - Priyamani
Priyamani’s woman centric film ‘Charulatha’, with a tagline ‘Never Break A Promise’, is the story of two sisters (conjoined twins) who love each other. Directed by Pon Kumaran, the film was made in all four south Indian languages – Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. Ramesh Murthy has produced the Telugu version. The film is set to hit theaters worldwide on September 21st in all four south Indian languages. Geetha Arts banner is going to release the Telugu version across Andhra Pradesh. ‘Neninthe’ is going to be yet another movie carrying the fire brand image of Puri Jagannadh. In a casual chat with him he conveys that the producer was the only person spared by him from criticism in this movie, specifying that the producer is the only poor soul in the whole process of making a film. He aptly selected Ravi Teja to do a role which was his original job profile in his real life. With Ravi Teja’s talent well proven, this role is going to be a ‘Jewel in his Crown’. “ I’m from a village called Bapiraju kotthapalli near Narsipatnam of Vizag district.My father served as a Munsif there.He constructed a theatre in my own place called Jagannatha touring talkies after my name.Pertaining to my education ,I failed in B.Sc.But I cherished reading books on varied aspects.My dad had good collection of books.In my 8th and 9th classes itself,I read books above that standard and capacity.Whichever movie comes to the touring talkies,it atleast remains for 3 weeks.I enjoyed watching the same movie incessantly for 3 weeks.That was my favourite past time.It never bored me.This paved the way for my interest in direction.I directed a small play in my village.It gained everybody’s praise.My academics were bad and my family encouraged me to step in to this industry after they acknowledged my talent in directing that small play.Till then,I din’t had the slightest intent. Where to go…..to Hyderabad… or to Madras?I was perplexed as I heard of Telugu industry moving to Hyderabad.Finally I decided to join in Madhu Film institute in Hyderabad.”………….. That’s how the Director Puri made his initiation. Lets see the hurdles that he underwent later..
No plans for Iddarammayilatho sequel - Puri Jagannadh
Puri Jagannadh’s ‘Iddarammayilatho’ starring Allu Arjun, Amala Paul and Catherine Tresa under the production of Ganesh Bandla on his banner Parameshwara Arts with musical scores by Devisri Prasad got released on May 31st.
